During tonight's board meeting, we received reports of refreezing on two bus routes. After reassessment, the following changes are in place:
* White/Clearfork Route: Will only run Chewy Road and Hwy 62.
* Black/Piney Route: Will only run Piney Road and Alberty Cemetery Road; it will not run Hilltop Acres, Stateline Road, or the route to Stateline Road.
Drivers will use their discretion to avoid unsafe areas tomorrow. If a route is impassable, families will be notified. Plan for limited routes and potential disruptions. Absences will not count if travel is unsafe; students may attend virtually.
School will be in session tomorrow! However, due to road conditions, two bus routes will be limited: the Purple/Chewy route will not go down River Road, and the Green/Adilee route will not go down Hammer Hollow Road. All other routes should run normally. Thank you to our county and city workers for improving the roads, our 12-month employees for their hard work on campus, and our parents for your patience and understanding!

After assessing roads across our district this evening, we’ve found significant issues: 2 bus routes would not be able to run at all, 4 routes are limited, and most dirt roads that have not been graded pose challenges. Therefore, Westville Public Schools will shift to distance learning/virtual instruction tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.

Basketball Update 🏀
Due to the weather, tomorrow's (1/10) Varsity Basketball game at Colcord has been rescheduled. They will now be played at home on, Thursday, January 16, following the Junior High games.
Due to the forecast of sleet and snow expected by noon, Westville Public Schools will have a virtual day on Thursday, January 9th. To accommodate this change, the virtual day originally scheduled for February 28th will be moved to January 9th. We hope this early decision will help our parents with planning for tomorrow.
