This week, we’re celebrating two incredible members of our Yellowjacket Family! 💛🐝🖤
✨ High School/Middle School Spotlight: Jenna Sitsler
Jenna is celebrating her 4th year at Westville, and her 1st year as our Social Work Director! She also serves as the Attendance Program Director and 4-H Leader. Her favorite part of the job is being able to do what she loves every day and call it work!
Jenna has lived in Westville for 17 years. She and her family are proud to be part of this community. Fun fact: even though she pours so much into people, Jenna considers herself an introvert and a bit of a loner.
🎶 Elementary Spotlight: Bret Barton
Bret is in his 3rd year at Westville and his first year as an administrator after teaching for 12 years! He and his family are proud Yellowjackets and love being part of the Westville community.
When he’s not at school, Bret stays busy working on his farm with chickens, cattle, and even corgis! 🐓🐄🐶 His advice to his younger self? “Don’t worry so much—things always work out for the greater good!”
We are so thankful for Jenna and Bret and the heart they put into our students, our school, and our community!

Homecoming starts at 6:30 p.m., and kick off is at 7:00 p.m. as our Yellowjackets take on the Sperry Pirates! 💛🐝🖤
Let’s pack the stands, show our Jacket Pride, and cheer our team to victory—let’s take them down!

Reminder: No school for students on Friday, September 26th, due to staff Professional Development.

This week, we’re celebrating two amazing members of our Yellowjacket Family! 💛🐝🖤
✨ High School/Middle School Spotlight: Stephanie Crittenden - Paraprofessional
Now in her 10th year at Westville, Stephanie loves building connections with students and is proud to be part of the Yellowjacket Family—because Jacket Pride never dies! Her best career advice? Be kind. Every day is a new day. Outside of school, she’s often at concerts with her buddy, Ms. Rachael Curtis. 🤘🏻
🎨 Elementary Spotlight: Ashlyn Brady - Art Teacher
In her 5th year at Westville, she loves all the messes and smiles that come with teaching art and music. Creativity drives her classroom, and she embraces the advice: “Weird teachers build the best character.” Her students love her energy and imagination! Fun fact—she enjoys construction and interior design, having added a bathroom, built a pantry, and even redone her dining room!
We are so thankful for the passion, creativity, and dedication these two bring to Westville Schools each day!
