If you want to pack a school lunch for your child who prefers a home lunch, here's the secret to packing a healthy successful lunch.
I'm here to tell you home lunches do not need to be fancy or Pinterest worthy. In fact simplicity is key, repetition is ok and some processed foods are also ok.
The rule of 5 offers structure to checking off all the main food groups, ensuring a balanced diet for the proper growth and development of your child.
Tip: Get your kiddos to help pack their lunches- the more they are involved, the more likely they are to actually eat it.
Let's not forget about home lunch safety:
- Save time by packing lunch the night before, and storing it in the fridge overnight.
- Always pack an ice pack to keep foods cold until ready to be eaten.
-To avoid bacteria growth, be sure your child's lunch bag and food containers are washed out daily.

Starting Wednesday, August 21, parents will need to check in and obtain a visitor's pass to enter the Early Childhood or Elementary buildings. If you would like to walk your child to class or meet with a teacher, nurse, principal, or any other school staff, please check in at the appropriate office beforehand. This measure is put in place to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Picture Day is approaching! Wear bright clothes and a smile on Friday, August 23.

Reminder: Students attending Extended Day can be signed out starting at 3:30. Please do not pick them up before that time. This is due to students being in transit and we are also trying to load buses with other students and get them out safely.
