🌟 Staff Spotlights of the Week 🌟
This week, we’re celebrating two incredible members of our Yellowjacket Family! 💛🐝🖤
✨ High School/Middle School Staff Spotlight: Amy Beller
Amy is in her second year at Westville, serving as our High School Counselor! Her favorite part of the job is seeing students get excited about the possibilities for their futures. She shares that the best career advice she has ever received is, “The ladder to success is not always a ladder—sometimes it’s more like a rock wall and requires you to step down or sideways to reach the next level.”
Amy and her husband will celebrate their 25th anniversary in December, and they are parents to five kids, as well as five foster children. A fun fact about Amy is that she once broke her front tooth eating pizza the day before Valentine’s Day! She and her husband also pastor GracePoint Fellowship Church and run a food trailer called Little Jo’s Concession. With purple as her favorite color, she feels she was meant to be a Yellowjacket! 💜💛🐝
✨ Elementary Staff Spotlight: Carla McCrary
Carla has been a part of Westville Schools for 15 years and currently serves as our 21CCLC On-Site Coordinator! She says the best part of her job is working with wonderful people and, of course, the kids. Over the years, she has enjoyed her time in Response to Intervention (RtI) and now relishes the challenges of her new role, knowing that it is worth it for the students.
Outside of school, Carla loves spending time with her family and taking care of their Black Angus and Scottish Highlander farm. A fun fact about Carla is that she enjoys vacationing on the island of Kauai and hopes to one day retire to an off-grid cabin where she can grow and preserve her own food. 👩🏻🌾🧺
Thank you, ladies, for all your hard work and dedication!
