We had a minor incident at school today. The fire alarm system detected smoke in the elementary. Elementary evacuated everyone safely. As a precaution, the fire department was contacted and came to the school. After investigation, it was found coming from a machine in the maintenance closet. There was no fire only smoke. Students will be returning to their in the next few minutes. Thank you.

Reminder, the only passes that will be accepted for Friday’s District Basketball game is OSSAA playoff passes. Tickets are on sale now. Gate and game workers and concession workers will not need to buy tickets.

Westville will be hosting the District Basketball Tournament on Friday, February 18 at 6:30 & 8pm. Due to our limited seating capacity only 540 tickets will be sold and can be pre-purchased online at ossaa.com. The cost is $7 with a $1.36 fee added. You will be able to scan these tickets off of your phone. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 but if all tickets are bought online we will limit access of game day purchase. Online tickets go on sale at noon Sunday, February 13 at ossaa.com.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday February 11 is a Distance Learning day for grades 7-12.

Westville schools will be in session tomorrow. Buses may not be able to make it into some parts of the route especially with snow covered hill areas but we will have school. If can’t make it in please call your office to let them know. Stay safe.

Westville Publix schools will continue Distance Learning on Friday, January 21 due to staff shortage. The nurses office is shut down and we continue to battle Covid and other sickness. We will be back to in-person learning on Monday, January 24. Thank you for your understanding.

Westville Public Schools will move to Distance Learning on Thursday, January 20 due to the number of staff and students out because of Covid and other illness including our nursing staff. We hope to get an idea of staff returning and will make a decision for Friday by early afternoon tomorrow. Please know that we are doing our best but at this time Adair county HS the highest transmission rate in the state at 424 cases per 100,000. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Westvile Alternative Classes will be canceled tonight due to the inclement weather approaching.

Westville schools will be in session on Tuesday, January 18. Staff will be required to wear masks indoors and we are asking that all students wear masks for 2 weeks. We hope to keep the spread to a minimum. Thank you.

Parents and students. With the large number of staff still in isolation we will be Distance Learning on Monday, January 17. We will return to in person learning on Tuesday, January 18. We are asking everyone to wear a mask for two weeks until we can endure this latest wave. This wave is the worst we have dealt with at anytime during the pandemic. Please take precautions and help us stay in school. We are asking not mandating masks for two weeks. Please consider this request. Thank you.
